Tea

This is the heart of our tea collection. Loose blends we put together ourselves, single herbs cut and sifted for a teapot, and a handful of beloved teas, all in one place. Most of the blends are hand blended right on our farm, from herbs we source through a network of farms we trust.

If you like a familiar cup, the Red Rooibos and Jasmine Green Tea are easy places to start. For something more layered, the Doctor Cinnamon and Hibiscus Orange Delight are house favorites. And when the weather turns, Cold Comfort and Days End Blend are the ones we reach for at the end of a long day.

Brewing loose is a small simple pleasure, a spoon, a strainer, and a few quiet minutes. If you'd rather skip the steps, the Tea Bags collection carries many of these same blends in pre-portioned bags. Looking to build a blend of your own? Browse the Bulk Tea Herbs for the building blocks.

Frequently asked questions about our Tea

How should I store loose tea?

A sealed glass jar in a cool, dark cabinet keeps the flavor and color longest. Away from the stove and away from direct sun.

How much loose tea per cup?

About 1 teaspoon per 8 ounces of water is a good starting place. Steep 3 to 5 minutes for green and black teas, 5 to 8 minutes for herbal blends.

What's the difference between loose tea and tea bags?

Loose tea gives the leaves room to open up and release more flavor. Tea bags are quicker and tidier.
