Red Rose Buds and Petals, 1/4 LB.

Sale price $15.45
Description

Red rose buds and petals are the unassuming, romantic dried flower that packs a pretty punch around the kitchen. They are as sentimental as a worn quilt made by grandma and just as welcome brewed into a floral tea on a tired afternoon.  Our red rose buds are dried whole, deep crimson, and softly fragrant.

Ours are culinary grade, so you can add them to your favorite recipe. Toss a handful into a green salad with citrus. Scatter the petals over a frosted cake or a bowl of fresh fruit with a squeeze of lime. Steep a spoonful in hot water for a soft, floral cup at the end of a long day, no caffeine, just delicious.

They're a favorite for bath and body projects too, stirred into bath salts and sugar scrubs, layered into homemade soaps, or floated whole in a warm soaking bath for a little quiet at the end of the week.

Red rose buds and petals are at home in your bulk dried edible flowers collection next to chamomile flowers, or tucked beside the rest of your tea for a small ritual that earns its place on the counter.

How to Use

In the kitchen:
Delightful as a tea, steep a tablespoon in just-off-the-
boil water for 5 to 7 minutes. Sweeten with honey. Also beautiful as a garnish tossed into green salads or scattered over frosted cakes, fresh fruit, and shortbread. For a gourmet treat, toss with fresh fruit and a squeeze of fresh lime juice.

To make rose sugar:

Layer 1 cup of granulated sugar with 2 to 3 tablespoons of dried red rose buds and petals in a clean, dry jar. Seal tight and let it sit on the counter for 1 to 2 weeks, giving the jar a gentle shake every few days. The sugar will take on a soft rose perfume. Sift out the
petals before using, or leave them in for a prettier finish. Lovely stirred into tea, sprinkled over shortbread, or dusted over buttered toast.

For bath and body:
A favorite stirred into bath salts and sugar scrubs, layered into homemade soaps, or floated whole in a warm soaking bath for a little quiet at the end of the week.

Ingredients

Red Rose Buds and Petals (Rosa centifolia).

Shipping & Returns

Shipping & Returns
A quick note before you check out: here's how we get your order from our farm to your front porch, and what to expect along the way.

When We Ship
We ship Monday through Thursday, holidays excepted. Most orders go out the door in 1 to 4 business days. During sales and the holiday rush we may run a little behind, and we appreciate your patience when that happens.

US Shipping Rates
Flat rate shipping is $8.50, and standard US shipping is on us for orders over $89. We send packages through USPS or UPS, and you'll get a tracking number by email the moment your order leaves the warehouse.

A small ask on delivery...
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout and make sure it's somewhere your package can land safely. Once your order is in the carrier's hands, lost, stolen, or misdelivered packages are out of our reach, and the carrier will be your best contact for tracking questions. Hold onto that tracking number, it's your lifeline if anything goes sideways in transit.

Fabric Orders
Because every fabric cut is made just for you, we're unable to accept fabric returns once it's been cut, shipped, washed, or worked with. We know that's a firmer line than we'd like to draw, and we wish we could be more flexible here, but cut yardage simply can't go back on the bolt for the next maker.

Non-Fabric Returns
We accept returns on non-fabric items within 30 days for store credit, provided they are returned in new condition with the original packaging and tags still attached. Return shipping is the customer's to cover.

Items need to arrive free of damage, including pet hair, smoke, perfume, stains, holes, or tears. Once your return arrives at our warehouse, allow up to 5 days for the store credit to be processed.

A few things we can't take back: final sale items marked 50% off or more and grab bags. We also have the right to decline a refund for anything that shows signs of alteration, misuse, or damage, or that was a final sale at the time of purchase.

And one more shipping note: we can't cover lost, stolen, or damaged packages in transit, so please keep that tracking number handy.

How store credit works...
Once your return arrives and we've had a chance to look it over, we'll issue a store credit code equal to the product's value (excluding original shipping and package protection). The code lands in your inbox at the email address you used to order, and it doesn't expire, so you can spend it whenever the right thing catches your eye.

Rooted in Old-Fashioned Traditions

From our farm to your front porch...

We're a family in the Missouri Ozarks, with a deep love for traditional folk skills and good ol' country living. We blend herbs and pack orders by hand, the same way we do most things around here: a little slower, a little more careful, with people we love pitching in. There's a whole story behind Home Folk, and we'd love to share it. Come meet the folks behind your order.
