Description

Hibiscus flowers are the deep crimson-pink calyces of Hibiscus sabdariffa, a tropical bloom with a tart, fruity taste that lands somewhere between cranberry and pomegranate. Brewed hot or steeped over ice, the flowers produce a bright ruby color and deliver a refreshing cup of tea.

Hibiscus has been enjoyed for generations as a caffeine-free tea, especially in warm-weather kitchens where its tang plays well with citrus and a touch of honey. Pair with a slice of orange or a squeeze of lemon for a zesty twist, or blend with Rose Hips for a deeper berry note.

Hand-packed at Home Folk's Bulk Herb Store and naturally grown. A favorite for porch-pitcher iced tea on a hot afternoon, the kind of cup that goes nicely with a quiet English Paper Piecing project on the porch.

How to Use
  1. Heat 1 cup of water, remove from heat.
  2. Add 1 to 3 teaspoons of hibiscus flowers into a tea strainer.
  3. Pour water over herbs and steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove tea strainer and herbs. Sweeten if desired and enjoy!

Hibiscus pairs well with citrus flavors like lemon and orange. Add orange zest or a dash of lemon juice to your hot or cold tea for a zesty twist.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping & Returns
A quick note before you check out: here's how we get your order from our farm to your front porch, and what to expect along the way.

When We Ship
We ship Monday through Thursday, holidays excepted. Most orders go out the door in 1 to 4 business days. During sales and the holiday rush we may run a little behind, and we appreciate your patience when that happens.

US Shipping Rates
Flat rate shipping is $8.50, and standard US shipping is on us for orders over $89. We send packages through USPS or UPS, and you'll get a tracking number by email the moment your order leaves the warehouse.

A small ask on delivery...
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout and make sure it's somewhere your package can land safely. Once your order is in the carrier's hands, lost, stolen, or misdelivered packages are out of our reach, and the carrier will be your best contact for tracking questions. Hold onto that tracking number, it's your lifeline if anything goes sideways in transit.

Fabric Orders
Because every fabric cut is made just for you, we're unable to accept fabric returns once it's been cut, shipped, washed, or worked with. We know that's a firmer line than we'd like to draw, and we wish we could be more flexible here, but cut yardage simply can't go back on the bolt for the next maker.

Non-Fabric Returns
We accept returns on non-fabric items within 30 days for store credit, provided they are returned in new condition with the original packaging and tags still attached. Return shipping is the customer's to cover.

Items need to arrive free of damage, including pet hair, smoke, perfume, stains, holes, or tears. Once your return arrives at our warehouse, allow up to 5 days for the store credit to be processed.

A few things we can't take back: final sale items marked 50% off or more and grab bags. We also have the right to decline a refund for anything that shows signs of alteration, misuse, or damage, or that was a final sale at the time of purchase.

And one more shipping note: we can't cover lost, stolen, or damaged packages in transit, so please keep that tracking number handy.

How store credit works...
Once your return arrives and we've had a chance to look it over, we'll issue a store credit code equal to the product's value (excluding original shipping and package protection). The code lands in your inbox at the email address you used to order, and it doesn't expire, so you can spend it whenever the right thing catches your eye.

Rooted in Old-Fashioned Traditions

From our farm to your front porch...

We're a family in the Missouri Ozarks, with a deep love for traditional folk skills and good ol' country living. We blend herbs and pack orders by hand, the same way we do most things around here: a little slower, a little more careful, with people we love pitching in. There's a whole story behind Home Folk, and we'd love to share it. Come meet the folks behind your order.
