Garlic Powder, 1/4 LB.

Sale price $3.11
Description

A jar of good garlic powder is one of those kitchen workhorses. It earns its spot on the spice shelf by showing up for almost everything: the weeknight roast, the pot of beans, the marinade you whisked together while the skillet warmed.

Ours is dehydrated garlic, finely ground, with no additives or preservatives. The flavor is smooth and savory, all the depth of fresh garlic without the peeling and chopping. A sprinkle into soups, sauces, dressings, rubs, and seasoning mixes does the work.

If you like to keep a tidy shelf of single-ingredient staples, this one slides right in alongside the rest of our bulk herbs, flowers, and berries. For ready-mixed blends that lean on garlic as a backbone, our seasonings and spice blends are worth a look.

Ingredients: Garlic Powder

How to Use

Reach for garlic powder anywhere you'd want the flavor of fresh garlic without the chopping. A pinch wakes up scrambled eggs, roasted vegetables, popcorn, or a quick weeknight rub for chicken. A teaspoon or so stirs into soups, stews, marinades, salad dressings, and pasta sauces, blooming as it warms. It also makes a lovely base for your own seasoning blends, mixed with salt, pepper, onion powder, and a few dried herbs. A general rule of thumb: 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder stands in for about one fresh clove. Start light, taste, and add more to suit the dish.

Ingredients

Garlic Powder (Allium sativum)

Precautions

Garlic powder is a safe, everyday kitchen staple for most folks when used in normal cooking amounts. A few things worth knowing if you're using it heavily or have a sensitivity: Large amounts can be hard on the stomach for some people, sometimes showing up as bloating, gas, or a touch of acid reflux. Garlic also has a natural blood-thinning quality, so if you're on a blood thinner or heading into surgery, it's worth a quick word with your doctor. Folks with very low blood pressure may want to go easy, since garlic can nudge it lower. Garlic allergies are uncommon but possible, usually showing up as skin irritation. And of course, like the fresh clove, a generous hand can leave its mark on your breath.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping & Returns
A quick note before you check out: here's how we get your order from our farm to your front porch, and what to expect along the way.

When We Ship
We ship Monday through Thursday, holidays excepted. Most orders go out the door in 1 to 4 business days. During sales and the holiday rush we may run a little behind, and we appreciate your patience when that happens.

US Shipping Rates
Flat rate shipping is $8.50, and standard US shipping is on us for orders over $89. We send packages through USPS or UPS, and you'll get a tracking number by email the moment your order leaves the warehouse.

A small ask on delivery...
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout and make sure it's somewhere your package can land safely. Once your order is in the carrier's hands, lost, stolen, or misdelivered packages are out of our reach, and the carrier will be your best contact for tracking questions. Hold onto that tracking number, it's your lifeline if anything goes sideways in transit.

Fabric Orders
Because every fabric cut is made just for you, we're unable to accept fabric returns once it's been cut, shipped, washed, or worked with. We know that's a firmer line than we'd like to draw, and we wish we could be more flexible here, but cut yardage simply can't go back on the bolt for the next maker.

Non-Fabric Returns
We accept returns on non-fabric items within 30 days for store credit, provided they are returned in new condition with the original packaging and tags still attached. Return shipping is the customer's to cover.

Items need to arrive free of damage, including pet hair, smoke, perfume, stains, holes, or tears. Once your return arrives at our warehouse, allow up to 5 days for the store credit to be processed.

A few things we can't take back: final sale items marked 50% off or more and grab bags. We also have the right to decline a refund for anything that shows signs of alteration, misuse, or damage, or that was a final sale at the time of purchase.

And one more shipping note: we can't cover lost, stolen, or damaged packages in transit, so please keep that tracking number handy.

How store credit works...
Once your return arrives and we've had a chance to look it over, we'll issue a store credit code equal to the product's value (excluding original shipping and package protection). The code lands in your inbox at the email address you used to order, and it doesn't expire, so you can spend it whenever the right thing catches your eye.

Rooted in Old-Fashioned Traditions

From our farm to your front porch...

We're a family in the Missouri Ozarks, with a deep love for traditional folk skills and good ol' country living. We blend herbs and pack orders by hand, the same way we do most things around here: a little slower, a little more careful, with people we love pitching in. There's a whole story behind Home Folk, and we'd love to share it. Come meet the folks behind your order.
